My wife and I got tired of all the bank scares, (conversions, mergers, bailouts) We thought...What's next? So we researched Credit Unions and liked what we heard. We transferred our accounts and kids accounts to Lanier Credit Union a year ago and have never been happier! Sure they don't have all the branches that banks do, but have you asked yourself HOW the banks got so many branches? They made it off of you! Lanier Credit Union don't need all those branches, they set us up with direct deposit, Visa check cards and their is nothing else we needed. It's been so convenient. With those visa cards, you can get cash or buy stuff anytime you like, without having to worry about cashing your check, writing checks, etc. They have phone and home banking that is online. No more making it to the bank by 1:00 before the "cut-off" to get your deposit in! Take it from us, we wouldn't have our account anywhere else! We are now in the process of talking with their friendly loan officers about refinancing our loans. So, far we will be saving an additional $375. per month without going any longer on the loan! Now thats savings!

These people really are all about their members and not profit. We reduced our lending rate by 5% from what the bank charged us AND they pay better dividends on our savings. We no longer have to wait in long lines to be greeted by a person who doesn't want to be there, these people are friendly and appreciate us!
